General Info

Easter is one of PBO's

seasonal events.

• Start: April 20th
• End: May 5th
• Location: Lapras NPC at Lake Verity => Brand new remade Easter maps!
• Story: There's no real story in Easter event
• Post Story:
  • Exclusive Pokemon (including but not limited to: Genesect, Meloetta, Diancie, ...)
  • Exclusive Forms
  • Exclusive Decorative Items (mounts, outfits, pickaxe skins, ...)
  • Exclusive Dynamax
  • Mega Stone collection
  • Shiny Trader
  • ...

On the Easter maps:

Collect Egg Shards (main event currency) by fainting common & uncommon pokemon.
Rare pokemon will have a chance to drop Bronze Easter Chests.
Very Rare pokemon will have a chance to drop Silver Easter Chests.
Ultra Rare pokemon will have a chance to drop Gold Easter Chests.
Legendary pokemon will have a chance to drop 2 Gold Easter Chests.

Walkthrough

There isn't really a story implemented in the Easter event, however there are some notable things on the maps & in the event that require a few info pointers. The rest of this Walkthough may contain spoilers!

Start

There are absolutely 0 requirements to play the easter event.
Once you have a starter & can get to Lake Verity, Lapras can take you to the Easter Islands.

You'll get a free deco just for going to the maps!

Unlocking content

• Maps

Maps are unlocked by spending Egg Shards to please Happiny.

35 Egg Shards each (3 unlocks required)

• Healers

Every Map has a Healer NPC available for everyone with Membership activated.

• Shop

To unlock a special Gracidea Flower Shop, you need to have the Shaymin pokemon in your team while talking to the Mallow NPC.

• Roaming Pokemon

Diancie is unlocked as a roaming legendary by defeating the Incineroar Boss on any difficulty.
Meloetta is unlocked as a roaming ultra rare by defeating the Decidueye Boss on any difficulty.

Forms

Christmas 2024-2025 event seemed to have a fairly balanced form rate.
Easter 2025 will have the same rates.

For people not reading it back then or people wanting a refresher, the explanation for how forms are found:

Before Halloween 2024, the forms were just added to a route & the odds of finding the form were the rarity of the form divided by the amount of that rarity were on that map;
Example: Rare Toucannon-H had the same rarity as other rare pokemon & his spawn was on a map with 1 other Rare pokemon.
=> Rare rarity then 50/50 if it's toucannon-h or other rare pokemon.

Now the forms are a chance on the encounter.
Example: Ultra Rare Weavile has a set chance of being Weavile-C.

In theory this makes the forms more exclusive, which was something we got as feedback from previous events, that the forms aren't exclusive enough.
We did get a lot of feedback that it was too low odds during Halloween. Therefore we did make some changes/add less forms (per day in event).

The same goes for all the chest pokemon, albeit chances are different (higher) for chests compared to wild spawns.

Blaze Radars stop you from running/fainting Rare or up Christmas Forms IF they don't have a 100% chance on being that form.


Odds

After feedback from Halloween event, the odds were tweaked a little bit which should make it more enjoyable to look for them.

The current odds for wild spawned forms are:

Common form: 1/750
Uncommon form: 1/80
Rare form: 1/40
Very Rare form: 1/10*
Ultra Rare form: 1/5*
Legendary form: 1/2

*on Halloween 1/15 & 1/10, halving rarity for ultra rares & making very rares 1/3rd easier to find.

Improving odds

We have 2 things that improve the odds.

The first is Event Charm. This item is available in the gem shop & boosts the form odds with 25% for everyone on the server, for 1 hour.

The second is a feature called Community Goals. This is visible in-game in the top right UI as follows:

So after there were 500K* faints server wide, the odds of finding event forms is increased with 40%* for an hour for everyone.

*Amount of faints required & boosted amount susceptible to change

NOTE: Both these things only influence pokemon that aren't 100% in their form spawned. Pokémon that spawn as their form visible in-game, are not affected by this.
