What are the odds of finding each rarity of Pokemon?

For example, in the guide I see Seedot is a "Rare" night only spawn on Route 204. What does "Rare" mean? Is it 1 in 100, or 1 in 1000, or...?

Is there a list of these odds anywhere?

The odds are not officially shared however the following is what most players seem to agree on & are a fair average to guess the odds on:

Legendary: 1 in 30.000
Ultra Rare: 1 in 3.000
Very Rare: 1 in 800
Rare: 1 in 200
Uncommon: 1 in 20
Common: Rest odds


Looks pretty rough odds, but considering we encounter pokemons very very quickly & don't lose time during the encounter, these odds average to (imo):

Legendary: Not enough personal experience
Ultra Rare: 1 in every 1.5-2 hours
Very Rare: 1 every 20-30 minutes
Rare: 1 every 10 minutes

These times are non stop encountering btw. no healing, no talking, no pauses
But ofcourse, it is and always will be RNG
