My suggestion is to add a new global event three times a week (one day for each PvP tier) where it incentives active play and a designated time slot for the corresponding tier to have a healthy population. The suggested incentive could be simple things such as a increase in Reward Points, or bonus items for each battle like in game money (F) or blaze coins, where some form of small compensation is still received for losing, and even better rewards for winning. I think the small frequency of 3 total hours per week would balance out any MMO economy/gameplay worries and get more players into PvP. I would also find it intriguing if more exclusive PvP rewards such as IV potions or IV randomizers can be a rewarded for winning 'x' amount of wins during the happy hour. I've enjoyed the game so far, but would be glad to see more PvP oriented end game gameplay loops added, and I believe the community may also enjoy an extra event to look forward to within their weekly play loop.
 
We have thought of adding smth similar indeed.

We do believe that PvP still requires a lot of fixing, mainly picking opener.

Currently focus is (evidently) on Kanto & summer event which will both launch before august (excluding extreme conditions). After that we might choose to work on improving the PvP in the game.
