Metagrossite
Metagrossite requires quite a lot of luck for the required drops, but doesn't require beating a champion like some others.
The Start
The Questline starts when you find Steven in his house at Mossdeep, while you have a Beldum in team.
You will need 3 items: Metagrossite Essence, Metagrossite Core, Metagrossite Crest
NOTE: if you have any of those already in your inventory before the first talk with Steven, he will not appear in the house!
Equip the items to your pokemon in party (outside of his house) to have them not be in your inventory to trigger the first step.
Fossil Maniac
A small detour by the Fossil Maniac, this quest only requires you to talk to him (house left of the big stadium).
Metagrossite Essence
Fossil Maniac requires you to find a Metagrossite Essence. You can find it on wild Relicanth's on Route 126 (Underwater).
Rampaging Tyrantrum
You will have to battle an NPC Tyrantrum in Route 111 (Desert) to get the Metagrossite Core. Go from Mauville up in the desert, then go to the right lower side.
Metagrossite Crest
Metagrossite Crest can be found on wild Tatsugiri's in Meteor Falls [Fishing level 20 required].
The End
Once you have all 3 items from above explained steps & you have an evolved Metagross level 100, head back to Steven in his house in Mossdeep & he will give you the Metagrossite.
NOTE: you will lose the hunted items, but keep the Metagross.

The End
