Mega Stone Guide

Hello, my name is billybobwell, and I'm here to share with you how to get each mega stone.
Quest-Based Mega Stones
Aerodactylite
Start Location: Fossil Trader's house, left of Fallarbor Town
Required Items:
• Aero Wing Fragment – Bring a level 100 Swellow to an NPC north of Mauville
• Prehistoric Jawbone Shard – Drop from catching or fainting Aerodactyl
• Fossilized Talon Segment – Trade Lileep or Anorith in Route 111 (Desert)
• Ancient Rib Fragment – Speak with Marina in the desert's mine site pass (requires level 40 in Mining)
• Tailfin Slice – Obtain a drop from Champion Cozmo and trade it with his wife
Final Step: Once all items are obtained, speak with Dusty (the Fossils Trader) in Fallarbor Town with a level 100 Aerodactyl in your team.
Blazikenite
Start Location: Mt. Chimney
Quest Steps:
• Find May on Mt. Chimney who needs help calming Mega Blaziken
• Catch 10 Torchic with 100+ IV
• Bring them to the Red Flute craftsman on Route 113, east of Fallarbor Town
• Craft the Red Flute to calm Mega Blaziken
Rewards: Unlock May as a Weekly Champion. Defeat her on Hard Mode to obtain Blazikenite.
Champion Location: Lilycove's Mall
Metagrossite
Start Location: Steven's House, Mossdeep City
Quest Steps:
• Head to Steven's House with a Beldum on your team
• Hunt Relicanth in Route 126 underwater for the drop required by Steven
• Go to Route 111 (Desert) for a battle with the Tyrantrum NPC
• Head to Meteor Falls and hunt Tatsugiri (requires level 20 fishing, Ultra Rare) to get the remaining item
• Evolve Beldum into Metagross and level it to 100
• Report back to Steven with all required items (3 Metagrossite Core pieces needed)
Sablenite
Start Location: Iron Island (Cave B1F R)
Quest Steps:
• Explore all maps of Sinnoh, Jvaloh, and Hoenn to find Ethereal Wisps
• Collect 100 Wisps total
• Go to Mt. Pyre and give them to the Ethereal Witch
Salamencite
Start Location: Ever Grande City's Pokémon Center
Quest Steps:
• After becoming Hoenn's Champion, speak with Drake inside the Pokémon Center
• Have a Kingdra on your team and go to Canalave in Sinnoh
• Take the ship to the Fight Area and head to Route 230 to find Drake
• Defeat his level 85 team
• Get an Altaria along with Kingdra and head to Goldburn City in Jvaloh
• Go down to the Dragon Tower and head to the 7th floor for another battle
• Defeat his level 100 team
• Get a Salamence, along with Altaria and Kingdra, on your team
• Go to Fallarbor Town in Hoenn, head left to Route 114, then down to Meteor Falls' entrance
• Defeat Drake's final level 100 team
Sceptilite
Start Location: Weather Institute, Route 119
Quest Steps:
• Professor Cozmo needs help calming a rampaging Mega Sceptile
• Collect 10 Treecko with 100+ IV
• Exchange them for a Lightning Condenser on the 2nd floor of the Weather Institute
• Use the Lightning Condenser to stabilize the weather and soothe Mega Sceptile
• Talk to Professor Cozmo before leaving
Rewards: Unlock Cozmo as a Weekly Champion. Defeat him on Hard Mode to obtain Sceptilite.
Champion Location: Cozmo's house in Fallarbor
Swampertite
Start Location: Hoenn Elite Four (south entrance)
Quest Steps:
• Talk to Wally and Swampert. Swampert runs off
• Wally suggests checking Sootopolis, its natural habitat
• Find Mega Swampert in Sootopolis. It will flee again
• Report back to Wally outside the Hoenn League
• Craft the Mystic Potion by collecting 10 Mudkip with 100+ IV
• Exchange them for Star-Shaped Gills at the building to the right of the Sootopolis Pokécenter
• (Alternative: Buy Mystic Potion from players via global market)
• Give the Mystic Potion to Wally outside the Hoenn League
• Follow Wally to the Seafloor Cavern to calm Mega Swampert
Rewards: Unlock Wally as a Weekly Champion. Defeat him on Hard Mode to obtain Swampertite.
Champion Location: Wally's Room, last map of Hoenn Victory Road

Location: Route 111 (Desert)
Method: Capture or faint Aron for a small chance to obtain Aggronite
Note: Drop rate is very low, be prepared for a long grind
Garchompite
Location: Wayward Cave
Method: Capture or faint Gible for a chance to obtain Garchompite
Note: Drop rate is very low
Mawilite
Location: Anywhere with Mawile
Method: Capture or faint Mawile for a chance to obtain Mawilite
Note: Drop rate is rare
Heracronite
Location: Viridian Forest & Route 13 (Kanto)
Method: Drop from wild Heracross
Sharpedonite
Location: Anywhere with Carvanha
Method: Drop from wild Carvanha

Requirements: Level 50 in fishing skill
Method: Defeat The Kingfisher on Hard Mode in Ochra Hills
