Fishing Contest
What?
A 30 minute event in which players compete to catch the heaviest pokemon with competition balls while fishing on the map 'Spring Valley'.
You can reach Spring Valley via any teleporter NPC. 50 f per teleport (37 f if you have activated membership).
Competition balls are bought in the shop booth at Spring Valley and cost 5 f each.
When?
It's held every week at the following times (in UTC/server time):
The actual event
You fish in Spring Valley, catch with competition balls and hope for a big catch. The weight of the fish is 100% RNG. Almost always between: 20 & 75 lbs.
Pokemon caught with competition balls get auto released. You will not have them in your box or team.
During the event, Dratini (UR) becomes encounterable on Spring Valley. As it is Ultra Rare, you need fishing level 20 or higher.
All fishing experience is increased with 50% during the fish contest (on Spring Valley).
There is an in game leaderboard with live updates showing your current best fish ranking + the entire top 30. You can view this by clicking the fish competition icon top right of your screen:
Rewards
Fisherman's Chest contains one of these pokemon (33,33...% each): Dratini, Chewtle, Tympole
The possible TM/TR is one of the following (16.66...% each): Waterfall, Muddy Water, Liquidation, Whirlpool, Razor Shell, Rain Dance
Possible Evolution Stone is one of the following (20% each): Water Stone, Dragon Scale, Deep Sea Tooth, Deep Sea Scale, King's Rock
You only receive the reward for the highest rank you achieved.

- Rank 1: - 3 Heartscale + Dratini Chest + 1 Random TM/TR + Random Evolution stone
- Rank 2-5: - 3 Heartscale + Fisherman's Chest + 1 Random TM/TR + Random Evolution stone
- Rank 6 to 15: - 1 Heartscale + 1 Random TM/TR + 1 Random Evolution Stone
- Rank 16 to 30: - 1 Heartscale + 1 Random TM/TR + 1 Random Evolution Stone
- Participation (50 pokemon caught minimum): - 1 Heartscale
- Additionally, top 5 has a chance to get Slowbronite (winner having bigger chance than others)
