Halloween Art Competition 2026: Create & Win an Exclusive Halloween Typhlosion!

Greetings, Trainers!

Our Halloween Art Competition returns for 2026! Last year’s entries were full of imaginative designs and spooky stories, and we’re looking forward to seeing what you create this time. Get your art supplies ready and give your favourite Pokémon a Halloween transformation!

The Task:

Design your own Halloween form of a Pokémon and bring it to life in a hand-drawn, coloured artwork on paper. Give it a short backstory to tell us what makes your creation special.

Guidelines:

• Draw and colour your entry by hand on paper. Digital artwork, printed outlines and digital colouring are not allowed.
• Write your in-game username clearly at the bottom of the paper.
• Post a clear photograph of your completed drawing as a reply to this thread.
• Include a short backstory or “lore” about your Pokémon. How did it take this form? What unusual powers or traits does it have?
• Submit one entry per person, including across alternate accounts. You may include more than one Pokémon in your drawing.

Originality & AI Rules:

• AI use is not allowed in any part of your entry. This includes generating concepts, reference images or outlines, colouring or altering the artwork, and writing or rewriting the lore. Drawing an AI-generated design on paper does not make it an eligible entry.
• Both the artwork and story must be your own. No tracing, copied designs, commissions or work made by someone else. You may use official Pokémon images as a reference, but create your own Halloween design.
• Create a new piece for this year’s competition. Entries from previous events cannot be reused.
• You may crop, rotate or make basic lighting corrections to your submission photo. Filters and retouching that change the artwork are not allowed.
• Keep your entry suitable for the community. Spooky designs are welcome, but graphic gore, sexual content and hateful imagery are not.

Progress Videos & Verification:

Please record short videos at different stages of your drawing: during the sketch, while colouring and as you add the finishing touches. Show your hand actively working on the original paper, with your in-game username visible.

You do not need to film the entire process, show your face or include audio. There is also no need to upload these videos with your entry.

Staff may request your progress videos privately to verify your work. Keep the original clips and your drawing until rewards have been distributed. A video showing only the finished artwork, or a slideshow of photos, is not enough to demonstrate how it was made.

Entries that do not follow the rules, or cannot be verified when requested, may be disqualified and will then be ineligible for prizes and participation rewards.

Judging:

We’ll be looking at originality, creativity, artistic skill and how well your lore brings the Halloween design to life.

The top three entries will also receive a Pokémon dialog style.

Additionally, all participants with a valid entry will receive the Rainbow Wisp Mount as a reward for their creative contribution!

Hollows - corrupted, monstrous spirits, born from souls, that failed to pass on to Soul Society after death. In many cases said failure is deeply rooted in an unresolved conflict, keeping the soul from coming to rest. A conflict, such as the one Mimikyu knows all too well.
The hunger for love.
The awareness that no one will ever be capable of accepting you, for what you are.
The realization that your true self is so horrifying, people die at its sight.
That painful hopelessness.
That big, aching hole in the chest.
Oh what misery. Unbearable.
All that load,...that oppressive weight pushing you down by the minute, until you...succumb.
"Who would help you now? No one ever loved you, no one will come to your rescue. You're by yourself. All ALONE."
That voice, raspy yet screeching, repeats itself over and over in the depths of Mimikyu's heart, while he lies there in the grass, bleeding out after the sneaky attack of a Weavile.
"What a meaningless life...it seems... I wasn't good enough after all..."
A piercing pain radiates from Mimikyu's Chest. White veils pour out of his heart, leaving nothing but a festering void behind. The veils enclose his tiny limp body.
"Never...good enough....why...why? Did I not deserve to be loved...not even once? Why should they deserve happines...if all the ever gave me was...pain."
With that last thought, Mimikyu's mind fades, falling into a deep darkness, too far gone to ever reach again.
A strike of lightning blasts out of the little Pokemon, a deafening rumble follows, a light plume of smoke arises. As soon as it fades, the old Mimikyu is gone for good. In his place, a truly terrifying Hollow, thirsting for blood of those not deeming him worthy.
The blood of EVERYONE.

Gengar, who loves pranks, puts on a homemade cloak on Halloween, fastened with a unique pumpkin button at the chest.
It often lurks in the dark to tease passersby, and tonight it simply enjoys the fun of mischief, with no intent to harm anyone.

DRAWING EVENT — HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

For this event, I chose Giratina as the inspiration for my own special Halloween version!

I wanted to give it a darker, scarier, and more unique look, with a style that perfectly matches the spooky Halloween atmosphere.

NOTE: The yellow stripes were my own personal choice, added to give the design a unique touch! ^^

Beneath the gnarled dead tree on Halloween night, Gourgeist bides its time. Its jack-o'-lantern shell is fissured and cracking, faint golden light seeps out slowly from the splits. It holds quiet, immense power locked inside, yet never chooses to surge forth. Moonlight glides across cobwebs, and wispy little spirits drift around it. Calm and restrained, it understands: its power waits, contained behind those fragile cracks. It will not unleash itself until the right hour finally comes.

Pikachu's Halloween Little Adventure
万圣节的夜晚，皮卡丘穿上了南瓜装，提着小南瓜灯去参加派对。路上，它遇到了一只迷路的小幽灵，于是决定带着它一起去找糖果。
虽然路上有点吓人，但皮卡丘并不害怕，因为它知道:"有朋友在身边，就什么都不怕!
On Halloween night, Pikachu dressedas a pumpkin and took a little lanterhto join the party. On the way, it meta lost little ghost, so it decided tobring it along to look for candy
Although it was a little scary, Pikachuwasn't afraid, because it knew:"Nothing is scary when you have a friendby yoar side!"

万圣节的夜晚，小镇笼罩在迷雾之中。街上传言，传说中的“粉红恶魔”已经来到了那家古老的小酒馆。好奇的镇民们纷纷赶去，想要一睹这个神秘生物的真容。

酒馆里洋溢着浓浓的万圣节氛围。南瓜灯一盏接一盏地亮起，它们的光芒在木制墙壁上摇曳不定。蛛网装饰和半开的紫色窗帘营造出一种神秘而兴奋的气氛。人们屏息以待，等待着传说中的恶魔现身。

突然，舞台聚光灯亮起。“粉红恶魔”登场了——原来是胖丁！

它头戴一顶黑色女巫帽，上面装饰着蝙蝠图案和可爱的小南瓜，粉色的圆滚滚的身体和人们想象中的可怕恶魔大相径庭。胖丁手里拿着一个复古麦克风，脖子上系着一个印有幽灵的橙色领结，糖果吊坠随着它的动作轻轻摇曳。

观众们先是愣了一下，然后爆发出阵阵欢呼。大家都听说过胖丁那美妙的歌声。所有人的目光都集中在舞台上那个小小的歌手身上，急切地等待着它用歌声来开启整个城镇的万圣节狂欢。

Three-Spirit Dugtrio
Beneath the graveyard lies Dugtrio, awakened by ghostly flames on Halloween night.
The three old tombstones marked 1, 2, and 3 are its bodies rising from the ground. Above each tombstone floats one of its purple spirits.

No longer mere burrowing moles, they have become the graveyard’s spirit guardians. They emerge from the mound under silent moonlight, wandering gently in the Halloween night wind together, guarding the secrets of this cemetery.

Halloween Witch Lunatone

This Lunatone is a little witch of the Halloween night sky.
Every Halloween night, it puts on its witch hat and purple cloak, and rides its broom to patrol the night sky.
That tiny Solrock button on the cloak collar is a keepsake from its good friend Solrock.
It has a gentle personality and loves guarding little sprites out trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Though it looks a little mysterious, it never scares anyone. It’s the cute little night witch of Halloween.
