Death never informs you of its arrival. No one knows when Yveltal awakens or when it comes to this land, but one fact is clear to everyone: it brings death equally to all life. It has taken countless lives, and innumerable resentful spirits and evil ghosts surround Yveltal. Perhaps this is why its originally blood-red skin has faded, and its neck, sideburns, and body burn with pale blue ghost flames. Behind it, a blood moon-like clock is divided into three sections, just like Yveltal and its two old friends, balancing each other. People only know that the clock begins to tick when Yveltal emerges anew from its cocoon. The three hands, symbolizing 'X, Y, Z' respectively, turn endlessly, yet it seems that no one has ever lived to see them stop.

Now, with its body ablaze with ghost flames, Yveltal has begun its revenge against the ghostly spirits. We still do not know how much pain it endured to become what it is now, but from its atrocities against the monsters, one can get a glimpse of it. 'The God of Death never hesitates to bring a second death to the already dead.'

As Halloween begins, various spirits start to awaken. Whether Yveltal's arrival is to seek revenge on ghosts or to distribute death equally to every life remains unknown. However, without a doubt, death cannot be avoided until the ghost flames consuming its body are extinguished and the clock hands behind it stop moving.

For whom does the death knell toll? When that moment truly comes, will you resist stubbornly, or face death with calm acceptance?

Or perhaps, death is only the beginning of the next chapter.

The Red Fin’s Oath
In the murky depths of the Amazon’s Black River, where sunlight barely pierced the water, lived a school of piranhas led by Red Fin—a scarred male with jagged teeth sharpened by years of surviving. Locals called his kind “river guardians,” but to outsiders, they were monsters. One dry season, a group of loggers dumped broken machinery into the river, blocking the piranhas’ only path to shallow spawning grounds. Red Fin watched as his young struggled to reach safety, their tiny bodies caught in rusted gears. Grief turned to fury: he rallied his school, their fins cutting through the water like blades. That night, the loggers heard a storm of splashes. When dawn broke, their submerged equipment lay in shards—chewed through by hundreds of jaws. The piranhas had vanished, but the river ran clear again. To this day, locals say Red Fin still patrols the Black River; his red fin a warning to anyone who dares harm his home.

On Halloween night, Lillie was walking home alone, carrying a bundle of candies she had collected. As she passed by an abandoned mansion, she noticed an orange glow flickering in the window.

Pushing the door open, she saw an ornate crystal chandelier hanging in the center of the dusty hall. As Lillie approached, the chandelier suddenly ignited with orange flames, turned its head—its face adorned with a pumpkin mask—and revealed itself as a Chandelure.

Instead of being frightened, Lillie stood still. She took a golden chocolate ball from her candy bag and gently placed it on the floor.

It was a shiny Chandelure. It gracefully floated down, and as its flames touched the chocolate, the candy melted away, revealing a glowing gem inside. The Chandelure swayed joyfully and draped a string of glowing miniature pumpkin lights around Lillie’s neck.

"So you didn’t mean to scare me," Lillie said with a smile. "You just wanted a Halloween gift."

The Chandelure nodded, its orange flames tracing a heart-shaped trail in the night sky before it quietly vanished into the depths of the old mansion. Lillie understood—she had just made a special Halloween friend.

In the deep and serene forest of the Hisui region, there circulates a legend about the "Halloween Phantom Typhlosion".

This Typhlosion was once the leader of a harmonious clan. Its flames were warm and full of vitality, guarding the clan's territory in Hisui. On Halloween Eve, a surge of shadow energy from another dimension suddenly invaded Hisui, distorting the forms of many Pokémon. To protect its clan, Typhlosion resolutely faced the core of the shadow energy head-on.

During the confrontation with the shadow energy, its flames were infused with eerie Halloween magic, and its body was reshaped. The flames on its head were no longer pure heat fire, but intertwined with the mysterious firelight of Halloween night. Halloween elements such as pumpkins, skulls, and spiders were also wrapped in the energy, becoming part of its body. It lost its original appearance but gained stronger power, continuing to guard this land on Halloween nights in Hisui—only occasionally, a trace of its former gentleness flickers in the flames.

The Venusaur, who couldn’t believe its Trainer had died, waited in the same spot. Its body began to turn wooden, the flower on its back withered away, and its eyes and mouth disappeared due to prolonged photosynthesis. It’s said that its unwavering wait moved Arceus, who bestowed upon it a pumpkin lantern. The Venusaur’s soul flame burns inside the lantern, guiding its Trainer back to it when they come searching.

“Team Rocket’s New Recruit: Dragonite”

After years of blasting off again, Jessie and James decided they needed a big, tough dragon to finally catch Pikachu. So they tried to “borrow” a Dragonite from a local trainer. But this Dragonite wasn’t exactly evil — just easily bribed with snacks.

Now he wears a Team Rocket uniform two sizes too small, and glasses stolen from Ash, accidentally crushes their gadgets, and forgets his lines during evil speeches. Instead of terrorizing towns, he mostly raids the fridge and photobombs every “Wanted” poster.

Even Giovanni’s given up — as long as Dragonite keeps morale high (and the snack bill low), he’s allowed to stay on the team.
