(top right UI button)

What?

A device obtained during your Sinnoh story (after second badge, just before entering Mt. Coronet).
It allows you to fight a group of rematchable NPC's (Ace Trainers) dropping useful items. Most common drops include pokeballs, potions and their improved versions. A full list of those items can be found here.
They also give:
  • 75 F each
  • experience to your entire party (like all npc fights)
  • some experience towards your Vs. Seeker level
  • an item as mentioned above*

*Tip: Most of these items can be sold in sandgem pokemart if you don't need them.

How?

Start of by clicking the aforementioned UI button, top right of your screen. The following, scrollable screen pops up:

This shows you which Ace Trainers you can battle ('Ready'), which you already have battled this run ('Defeated') & which you can't fight yet due to your level being low ('Locked').

You can also see where they are. For example, the level 1 NPC's are in Sandgem Pokecenter:

After defeating all the npc's you can and want to defeat, you can click 'Use Vs. Seeker' button:

This resets the Vs. Seeker & makes all the 'Defeated' NPC's back 'Ready' to battle. You can do this every 2 hours that you are logged in the game.

The actual battles

The difficulty of battles increases with the level of Vs. Seeker needed to fight them. The possible rewards increase aswell ofcourse.

The level of the pokemon of your opponent scales to your highest level pokemon (minimum level 20).
During story this is a nice challenge & makes sure the experience gain is high.
Post story, this means you can try sweep them with 1 level 100 pokemon and gain a ton of experience on level 30-60 pokemon. (lower level pokemon will just gain 1 level)

Levels 1-7 have set orders in which the pokemon are used. Levels 8-10 the order is 100% random (however it remains the same 6 pokemon).

A planned player made guide is to show all the Vs Seekers team. I'll put a link to it here if & when I (or someone else) gets around to making it.
