Sage Eron
Sage Eron is an NPC who starts a side quest which will unlock the regitrio NPC's.
Requirements
Quest
Upon entering Route 120 for the second time, you can see Sage Eron standing on the route. Talk with him to start the quests.
He heard rumours about the legendary Giants and asks you to investigate.
Echoes of Steel
Once inside Ironheart Cavern (route 120, East of Fortree City) you will fight an Aggron dropping a Metal Coat upon fainting.
Report Your Findings to Eron
Show the Metal Coat to Sage Eron.
Echoes of Frost
Frostvault Cavern is located on Route 105 (north from Dewford Town), once there you have to battle a Cryogonal. It drops a Never-Melt-Ice held item.
Report Your Findings to Eron
Show him the Never-Melt-Ice.
Echoes of Rocks
Route 111 Desert, whereupon Stonegrip Cavern is on the far south, is located to the far north of Mauville City. A Garganacl will face you there and drop a Hard Stone when fainted.
Report Your Findings to Eron
When showing the Hard Stone, Sage Eron seems to be out of knowledge & refers you to his brother in Pacifidlog. (from here you need to have beaten the Hoenn Champion in story)
Seeking the Sage's Brother
Sage Eron's brother seems to be talking in riddles, including colours and clear hints to what kind of pokemon you need for the next part.
NOTE: These pokemon need to be high level (50+) to be eligible.
After showing Eron's brother the correct pokemon, you will have the legendary Giants unlocked as NPC's with teams.
You can always ask around in the community if you can't think of any trio of pokemon which could resemble the regi's.
