What Pokemon Skills are and how it works

What you need to know first

Pokemon Blaze Online has its own skill system. It requires to level up a pokemon to 100 to be eligible to a reset.

Skills are upgrades of your pokemons that are quality of life improvements. They don't give boosts in battle.

What does a reset do ?

A reset brings your level 100 pokemon back to the level 1.

It also gives you a certain amount of Skill Points.
  • 1 Reset gives 1 skill point
  • 2 resets gives 2 skill points
  • 3 resets gives 3 skill points
  • 4 resets gives 4 skill points

You can reset 4 times max for a total of 10 Skill points.

What can you do with Skill Points ?

There are many skills in the game. You can invest your points in most of them, but some require a special talent.

Be careful ! The skills below only activate if the pokemon with the skill is the first of your party (no matter if the pokemon is K.O. or not)

How to reset a pokemon and allocate skill points

To reset a pokemon, follow those quick steps :
  1. Click on your level 100 pokemon in your party to show its card.
  2. Click on its level between its sprite and hp.
  3. Click Reset on the newly opened menu and click yes
  4. Profit !

To allocate skill points to a pokemon, follow those steps :
  1. Click on your level 100 pokemon in your party to show its card.
  2. Click on its level between its sprite and hp.
  3. Select on the list the skill you want.
  4. Select Upgrade Skill and click yes.
  5. Profit !

Lost on something ? Check out this video where I (horsey) do everything that is told above.

List of all the available skills

Move Bank

You can allocate up to 8 points in the move bank. Each point gives a slot in the move bank .

Move bank allows you to store moves and switch between them

(This is useful for example if you have a pokemon with a pvp set and you want to use it to capture pokemons as well, then you'll put false swipe in your bank and switch when you're in pvp or in pve)

HP Refresh

You can allocate up to 5 points in the HP Refresh.

Each point gives +20% HP back after a wild battle. Giving a total of +100% HP at level 5.

PP Refresh

You can allocate up to 5 points in the PP Refresh.

Each point gives +10% of the PP back after a wild battle. Giving a total of +50% PP at level 5.

Synchronize Rate

You can allocate up to 2 points in each synchronization, your pokemon MUST have the talent synchronization.

Each point gives +5% chance to synchronize the talent of your pokemon with the wild one (for more information, check Abilities that work out of battles)

There are synchronization for all the rarities :

  • Common and Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Very rare
  • Ultra rare
  • Legendary

A common strategy is to use Gardevoir or alakazam (ralts and abra spawn in Sinnoh) and to put one skill point in PP Refresh, and 2 skills points to all rarities but common/uncommon.

Item Drop Rate

You can allocate up to 10 points in the Item Drop Rate Boost
Your pokemon MUST have one of the abilities below
  • Pickup
  • Compound Eyes
  • Pickpocket
  • Magician
  • Sticky Hold

Each point gives +5% chance to drop items after defeating a wild pokemon. Giving a total of 50% at level 10.

My personnal tips is to try to find a sneasel with pickpocket as it's one of the fastest and strongest pokemons with a valid talent. It'll offers you the possibility to farm everywhere easily with a repartition of 9 skill points in Item Drop Rate Boost and one in PP Refresh.
You can find Sneasel in Sinnoh and Jvaloh.
