(A couple) PBO unique tips/must knows


A couple things you have to know before playing to avoid getting scammed that are Pokemon Blaze Online only features* (and isn't really part of any other guide).

*or atleast not in the original games, I haven't played every single other Pokémon game


1. Hotkeys

Hotkeys are a real timesaver and very useful, you can even adjust them to your liking in the settings. It includes (but not limited to) 1-2-3-4 for moves and r to run.

Even editable shortcuts to items in your bag are possible!

2. Don't release bad UR/LEG/shiny pokemon

Ultra Rare/Legendary & Shiny pokemon can be exchanged for IV potions in sandgem professor lab. Legendary gives 3 IV pots, where UR/Shiny gives 1 IV pot. So don't sell them cheaper than the average price for IV potions, and most certainly don't trash them when wrong nature.

3. Sandgem rebuyer

You can sell Vitamins (and couple other items) in the Sandgem Mart. Vitamins are 2K each! Might make a full guide for it, but it's just best to just go in Sandgem Mart & talk to the rebuy NPC.

4. Pokemon are region bound if not champion!

Pokemon from a different region will not gain experience in a region where you arent champion.

U can buy up to level 5 from future regions & transfer their region to Sinnoh limitless & for free in Sandgem Lab.
Transferring to other regions is possible up to 5 times (assuming the pokemon complies to the level cap = 5 + [10*Badges of that region]).

5. Exp Share for EV

The first exp. share in your team also gains EV. Very usefull to avoid having to switch train for EV's (mostly late game/post story tip).

NOTE: this is not true for the free untradable Exp. Share from the Eterna Forest quest.

6. Comp balls auto-release pokemon

Competition balls only work during Bug or Fish competitions and won't save the pokemon in your PC, they will be auto released.

7. Mounts are visual difference 'only'

The speed of running shoes is equal to the speed of the bike and all mounts. Surfing has a set speed which is also always the same speed.

8. Shiny Tracker Safe balls are event only

Pokeballs (any kind, regular up to master) with the addition (Shiny Tracker Safe) are only usable during events like Halloween or Easter event. They won't catch any pokemon on maps outside of those events. These will, in turn, not help you when trying to catch pokemon other than the one you are shiny tracking (outside of the big timed events).

9. Sprite gender matters for costumes

Several of the costumes you can buy in Pokemon Blaze Online have seperate bundles/items for male & female sprites.
