Pokémon Blaze Online Player League (PBOPL) - Season 1​

Welcome to the first edition of PBOPL! Get ready for an action-packed team-based Pokémon event where top competitors battle weekly for a massive grand prize! Six managers will draft players to form their teams, and once the rosters are set—the competition begins!

Competition Format
7-Week Round Robin
Each team will face every other team once.

Top 4 Teams Advance
After 5 weeks, the top 4 teams move to the Playoffs for a shot at the championship!

Battle Format
Each week, managers will submit a lineup for tier-based matchups from the following:
- BO3 OU
- UU
- Gen 9 National Dex (Showdown)
- Managers Choice 1 (Team A picks a tier)
- Managers Choice 2 (Team B picks a tier)
(Managers Choice is limited to OU, UU, and Gen 9 National Dex.)

Manager / Player Signups Open: February 20, 2025 12:00 AM
Signups Close: March 6, 2025 11:59 PM

Prize Pool
Winning Team (70%): Winning Team (70%): 12,600,000 (split among all team members)
Runner-Up Team (15%): Runner-Up Team (15%): 2,700,000 (split among all team members)
MVPs (15%): MVPs (15%): 2,700,000 (distributed among 5 MVPs)

Hey everyone, Both Manager & Player Signups have started!

Manager Signup:
IGN: - this is your In-game name (Add your showdown name as well if you don't have discord or intend to play as well for showdown gen9 national dex)
Motivation: - What's driving the motivation to play as a manager / what is your purpose for managing.
Accomplishments: - What makes you different from the rest of the managers, this will make the players you draft have faith in your ability to manage the victory.
Discord: - Your discord tag (if you don't have one, leave blank)
Team Name: - This will be your team name, take the opportunity to make it exciting and unique or take a well known name!

Responsibility:

The manager shall pick a name for his/her team.
The manager shall be present during the Auction.
The manager shall send the host weekly rosters.
The manager shall ensure to his/her best capabilities that every match will be completed in time.
The manager shall inform the host as to why a match failed to be completed in the event that one fails.
The managers shall inform the host of any substitutions that will be made (Friday is deadline)

Player Signup:
IGN: - this is your In-game name
Name (Showdown/Smogon Forums): - What is your smogon or showdown username (main account)
Time Zone (UTC): - Where are you from, this will be useful for scheduling
Discord: - Your discord tag (if you don't have one, leave blank)
Preferred tiers: - Which tiers would you like to play out of OU ( Best of 3), OU, UU or Gen9 National Dex
Accolades or experience outside PBO (Showdown, Smogon): - this will signify what managers will look for that make you different from the rest to gauge experience.

Responsibility:

The player shall schedule with their opponent each week.
The player shall tell their manager if they need to be substituted. (Friday is deadline)
The player shall work together with their team and have good sportsmanship.
The player shall give maximum 1 hour notice for their match.
The player shall inform their manager when the match is scheduled.
